If cost is a issue OWC usually has great deals on their ram and seems to have a great warranty to back it up and will let you trade in old ram to knock the price down even further.
Seen that and it seems like a great deal.
Its worth noting though that if you bring in a computer with aftermarket RAM installed to the GB, you will run into some issues. Unless you REALLY need the extra cash back, id put the original apple RAM in that antistatic bag that the new stuff comes in and stick it somewhere safe in case the need arises.
Just a thought....

If not, have you filed a bug report?
I asked a friend with that issue and he says he still has it. :(

That is the most idiotic accessory I've ever seen. I wouldn't be caught dead with that thing on... You might as well add a set of braces, headgear, a pair of broken black rimmed glasses taped together with masking tape, a pocket protector, a short sleeve plaid shirt buttoned all the way to the top, and brown high water pants pulled up to your nipples and cinched by a belt.. that should make the picture complete.

For what it is worth, I have to say I have always gone with crucial and had no issues
I second this. Crucial just works.

The chair of the FCC talked earlier this week about the big push forward the US will see this year in digitizing the nation with the 700 mHz as well as WiMax and the digital conversion of TV stations. He wants true broadband access across the country and he says that 200 kbps is NOT broadband and new rules will be coming down the pipeline soon to force companies to up their network speeds and access.

I would have thought that Apple still cared about making computers.
Guess we were both wrong.
ever since ipod hit the market they have been more concerned with that market. most of their revenue (correct me if i'm wrong) comes from ipod sales.

I am a Apple Fan boy through n through. Well i like to call myself the MAC daddy haha!
I have just come across the mac mini server. I want it!!! But not sure it can replace my current set up.
In my garage, i have a Dell 390 workstation with 4 TB of space. I manily use this to keep all my movies, music, and media on. I stream my movies from it via shared drives to my WD TV Live box. Which i love... I use programs like, Vuse / Handbrake actually they are the most common apps i use. Eventually id like to be able to back up my external drives from my imac to the server.
Just wondering if the mac mini server could replace that. As the Dell is power hungry, large and just plain ugly. But it does have 4TB worth of space.
Could the mac mini replace this setup, and if so how?

I'm not seeing anything unusual with those caps, but could you describe what you see a little more? What makes you suspect those caps?
The ones on the left look really fat to me. As i said i could be wrong on this, i don't know much about capacitors. But if the things on the left and on the right are both capactiors, then the ones on the left are 2x the size of the ones on the right in person. They are also taller. is this normal?
I saw this image on google and read several other posts on forums and they said the 3rd LED could be a capacitor issue.

It depends on your needs, if you have two notebooks with the same specs and differing only in weight, the lighter one will probably be more expensive, but if you need something that is very portable then it is probably worth it and thus better. If you don't care about weight, the heavier one will be cheaper and better for your needs.

I'm guessing it is something with no-ip then, what happens if you try to access the pictures via the IP address and port (if you are using no-ip to forward to a port other than port 80)?
No-IP is only a DNS service, so you don't actually get data through their servers.

I find a p&s is invaluable in a theme park with kids. You really don't have time to mess with settings and the last thing you want to do is worry about your camera. I have a zs3 (tz-7?) and find the long zoom and wide angle perfect for all kinds of shots. The one-touch video button helps too because there is often some action you want to catch. Versatility is key for me in that kind of situation.

You reinstall JB packages through Cydia (one by one) or by using AptBackup or PkgBackup or some other app like these.
The update simply overwrites the files on your phone but still keeps everything intact like your music, photos, apps etc. The full restore will wipe out everything making you start from scratch.
I just did a full restore to 4.3.2 since mine was sluggish and slow. You can do either or but I always prefer doing a full restore since it clears everything out.
Wish there was a reliable way to keep packages, icon placements, manually installed deb's, and tweaks without having to-do them all. There's package backup, and apt backup, but it's not a full "click to restore" that would be ideal for me.... so it makes little hops like going from 4.3.2 to 4.3.3 kinda more pain than it's worth.

The "right" amount is a bit subjective. WinXP requires 1.5GB of space, but you'll also need room for additional hardware drivers, room for temporary space/virtual memory, and room for games. You'll need to consider how much space your games will need. On my 500GB HDD, I partitioned off 100GB. It's not nearly enough for all the games in my library, but it allows me to have several of them installed while running Win 7.
However, I don't think there's a right answer that anyone other than you can provide. Also, read the Bootcamp message and make sure it supports WinXP. I know the 2011 MBPs do not.
