Hi All,
I would like to ask if it is possible, and how long does it take if so, for
my parents who live in India to visit me in the UK, then we all apply
for tourist visas for my brother's marriage in the US.
I have indefinite leave to remain in the UK but am not a citizen yet.
The earlies times for appointment for an interview for my parents
in India is 4 months! whereas my brother will be getting married in 3...
Is it possible for them to get the tourist visa for US from here in the UK?
How long would that take if applicable?
Thanks all very much,

Why DOS issued the above mentioned new bulletin on 9th July 2007 ?
What is the legal implications before and after issuing this bulletin ?
Any one can update this thread please?
Instead of update, I request mod's to close this thread. Krupa, just browse this site and you will find more than 4 or 5 threads already open on this topic. Does it makes any sense opening a new thread for each and every doubt you get regarding VB? Let's keep this site clean with minimum threads else our site will go blogs way, with no content and no fizz.

Hi Gazman - for the most part, almost everything is run. There may be some animation-related things that we suppress, but you can have a nested class that controls some UI on a grandparent class, and Blend will happily show you the results of it.
Let me know if you are running into any limitations.

Hello All,
When I was doing my education (MS) my credit dropped drastically and recently like 2 years back it went for collections too. However I cleared all my credit card debts but it still shows on the credit report that as severe deliquencies and number of open accounts.
Next month I'm applying for AOS - I want to know whether bad credit will have any affect of the approval or denial of the application?
Any suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks
Credit Rating will have NO impact on your AOS.

I got laid off recently.
Now got job with 2 companies. 1 small and 1 big. 3 questions:
(1) Should I select based on my salary? Big company offers more salary.
(2) I have to now start Greencard again. So should I choose big company or small ? Both said they will consider sponsoring if performance is good.
(3) If I transfer H1B Is Big company likely to get RFE or small?
Go with consulting company. They will cooperate for your green card filing in EB-2. Any full time job never gaurantee green card.

My 485 (based on NIW) is pending. Based on the current bulletin, it could take years to approve my case. I currently work in the US using H1 visa. But I may need to travel outside the US for 1 year or even longer for business reason. Is there any way that I can not abadon my 485 pending status? Thanks!

The suggested procedure generally is, (assuming you got stamped with Employer A while in India and you want to work with Employer B as soon as you land)
1. File a new independent petetion
2. at Port of Entry, show the I-797 of company B, so that your I-94 records the right company you intend to work.
With quota over for the year, you cannot file another H1 and follow above approach.
When quota was not an issue until 3 years ago, the above scenario worked.
Now you dont have an option because in I-129 (H1b application) form, you will be counted against the cap unless you are already in US in same status i.e on H1. Since you are not in US, you cannot avoid not being counted againts the cap.
So the only way is to come in to US with intention to work for Employer A and then look for moving to employer B

Hi all,
Please help me with the following questions.
I am planning to apply for h1b transfer in the near future but with a paystub that is having salary lesser than the usual one. Is that advisable to do premium processing in this case?
I am looking for the premium processing option as I might have to travel outside USA before I could know about the result(approval or rejection) so I assumed that I can know the result through premium processing, travel without any problem and can get it stamped too.
Or is it fine to travel when I have applied for the transfer?I have my company A visa(which I got last year) stamped in my passport.
please let me know your thoughts
Regards

Thank you;
I am also renewing the EADs but the concern is more on what if the renewals are not approved by 9/2010. Looks like your answer is they are still legal (AOS)

Although Dphoto has a very active Canon forum, this site is about the image first. Gear at the higher levels is more a matter of personal preference. Nikon has some very strong points. For example ergonomically, the D2H is fantastic. What are the things that enticed you to choose Nikon?

That could be viewed as remuneration for services thus meeting the USCIS definition of employment. At least theorhetically, this would violate your H-1 status.

The HR/Lawyer has to decide the category, you can't. The job category is based on what the job requires, not what you have. If you have 20 years of experience but the job requires just BS, it falls into EB3. Good luck.

If the company is moving within the same county then no issues.
If it's moving to a different state (or) to a different county within the same state, then refer the following thread
http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showpost.php?p=158508&postcount=7
Remember, the prevailing wage differs from county to county even within the same state.
How about if the company moves with in the same state but different county. My company is moving to a bigger facility as we have outgrown the current facility. I have applied for I-485 on July 3rd and my I-140 is already approved.
Seeing that under AC21, they give flexibility to move to a different employer and different state, I think the law would be flexible enough to accomodate moving of the work location within the same state with same employer.

Poll is asking only about filing. What about people who already filed 485 and then retrogressed?
