So when are most people lining up for keynote? Maybe we should have another poll for that. My hotel is about 5 blocks away, I guess I'll be walking? or are there decent parking garages open early? (yes, I'm from LA, we drive anything more than 0.5 blocks)

Doubt it. I have the 2.0 ghz and it works great. If you do a lot of video encoding you'll see a speed up, but for me I'd have to be doing video all day for me to want to upgrade. I'm going to wait for a machine that has light peak/usb 3 and and i7 or better ... so I'll be hanging on to this machine for quite some time to come. The .66 increase in speed is just not something I'd see with how my machine gets used. If you do lots and lots of video, upgrade ... if not save your money.

Yep, it's been well established around here that GainSaver is a bunch of crock, and that no one should even consider buying from them. Of course, that doesn't mean that people don't get caught without finding out about them first. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, but I don't think any of us are surprised.

I call shenanigans. Why sell a cheaper model when people would buy up the more expensive one if the cheaper one wasn't offered.

Whenever I've needed it, I've rented the D700 when I've needed a full frame, because how far away can Nikon's next prosumer full frame be?
The 5D Mark II came out YEARS ago at this point, which succeeded the 5D, which was the D700's first competitor.
Do we have any ideas/updates on this one?

I am trying verify if data recovery is possible on a customers Macbook Air a1304 hard drive. Since Apple decided to use that 1.8" drive I am trying to find an adapter that will work in a desktop SATA or IDE that isn't some ridiculous price. The Air had water spilled on it so it will not turn on nor do I have another air to test it in.
From what I can find the Air uses a 1.8" ZIF drive. Would this ZIF CE 1.8 Microdrive to 3.5 40pin adapte (http://www.amazon.com/ZIF-1-8-Micro-Drive-Adapter/dp/B004AXDA82)r work. Perhaps this Toshiba 1.8 ZIF to 2.5 IDE (http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-1-8-Zif-2-5-Connector/dp/B0018S9RQG) (I have an external enclosure that works with the 2.5 IDE). I also found this external USB enclosure (http://www.amazon.com/Aluminum-Enclosure-1-8-inch-Toshiba-Connector/dp/B0037FR27E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1302904126&sr=8-2). There is even this uber cheap adapter for 1.8 zif to 2.5 IDE (http://www.amazon.com/ZIF-1-8-Inch-Toshiba-Adapter/dp/B004AA5WRW/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1302904126&sr=8-7).

I looked thru that apple listing of keystrokes, but I couldn't find one to restore windows (or I overlooked it). That is, if a window of an app is minimized onto the dock and you select the app by apple+tab, is there a keystroke to restore the window so I don't have to use the mouse to find it on the dock and click on it?

Try a Thinkpad T-series. Best-built for the money, with user-replaceable parts (try finding that on most machines today), and a keyboard that puts all others to shame.
ThinkPad displays suck, otherwise a nice computer. Huge mistake on Lenovo's behalf imo.

assuming the express is of the newer "N" kind, it needs to be configured to extend the network created by the TC.
also make sure the TC is set to allow this network to be extended.

I live in Japan and would love to MOD my Wii. The game selection here is so limited and the games that do exist are nothing I would want to play. Since release, Zelda and Wii Sports are th only decent games...
When I was back in Canada during XMas I was amazed to see such a nice selection of Wii games, I'd love to be able to play some of them on my JP Wii.

So when you turn the machine upside down (with it facing you as normal) and take the battery our there is not a little door exposed facing you? Are there instructions printed under where the battery is?
